A target group is understood as a specific range of users that a certain product is meant for. Identifying this group is important because it helps to precisely direct product development so that it corresponds to the needs and preferences of this group of users.
When creating a target group, various criteria are considered, e. g., age, sex, geographic location, education, and income. Based on these criteria, the target group can be specified in more or less detail.
For instance, a certain target group can have men aged 30–45, Europeans, university graduates, with an income of over 50,000 CZK/month, who own an iPhone.
